The Logitech X50 may not look like your common speaker but the X50 is quite impressive, especially in terms of size. Because of that, it is not a speaker to be looked down on.
The X50 is a great speaker for its price and can create an awesome beat coming from such a small speaker. Just having the X50 in your bag or in the car can make your day ten times better.
Sound Quality
The sound quality of the X50 is good but there a limits to it as the size of the speaker restricts how good a speaker can sound. The bass that comes from the X50 is also good but is weaker than its mid and high range. It also surprised me how calming and relaxing the music coming from the speaker could be. When at max volume, that is where the music starts getting slightly distorted but that is very common and occurs in most speakers so not deal breaker or a big problem.
Build/Design
The build of the speaker is very stylish and the grate on the front is what makes it stand out. The grill pattern on the front also serves the purpose of making sure that the parts inside the speaker are protected while giving the speaker a good frame and structure. The speaker has a interesting and unique style that differs from the typical circular pattern. To make it easier to use and place, there is a ring to hang it on something if you want to put it higher. Buttons on the front control everything from volume, power, and pairing. It comes in many interesting colors to choose from and the bottom is coated in rubber to give grip.
Features
The X50 has the advantage of having an auxiliary port so you have more than one option to play music. This means that you do not need to have Bluetooth to be able to connect to the speaker as you can use a 3.5mm wire to connect another device. Another fantastic feature is that this speaker weighs only 140 grams making it really easy to pack and extremely light. You may carry this in your bag and forget you even brought it along.
Battery
The battery life of the X50 is probably its weakest spot. The X50 has around 5 hours of straight playing time meaning that it could mean often needing to recharge all the time. This is mostly because of the size, so you won't be able to use this speaker for extended times. Because of the problem of having a small battery, something that really helps is bringing along a portable battery pack. The X50 also uses a microUSB port for charging.
The X50 is a great speaker that is practical and will be able to fit all your needs for someone that isn't looking for something super luxurious and expensive.
